I made a tracing of a drawing Don Stith sends with the CD, of the tang shape and glued it to the tang. I used it for a guide to shape the tang.

A hacksaw was used to cut the tang to length.

The tang was first shaped using a Dremel tool then finished up with a file. Then I filed a bevel on the edges of the tang, making it ready for inletting into the stock.
